Overview:
The Ferry Street Bridge area is a delightful and desirable locale nestled between the Cal Young and Harlow Road neighborhoods in north Eugene. Its hub is Oakway Center, the upscale retail plaza which has become quite the destination for shopping, fine restaurants, and entertainment.
With an array of parks, golf courses and eateries, Ferry Street Bridge gives you the best of both worlds- safe and friendly neighborhoods with the feeling of a walkable city. Bike paths and running trails are abundant and can connect you to downtown in just a few minutes.
The area is home to a mix of families and young professionals. There are several excellent elementary and middle schools and the area feeds into Sheldon High School where Oregon and NFL quarterback Justin Herbert went to school.
While the neighborhoods are generally quieter, you’re always within a short walk to shop or dine at Oakway Center, attend a Pac-12 Duck football game at Autzen Stadium or enjoy a summer evening’s outdoor concert at the Cuthbert Amphitheater.
History of the Area:
The area gets its name from the Ferry Street Bridge that connects the Coburg Road neighborhood to downtown and the University of Oregon campus. Before the bridge was built, a ferry shuttled residents across the Willamette River near where the bridge stands today.
Earlier in the century the area would have been home to dozens of Filbert orchards stretching between the Willamette and McKenzie rivers. Most of the orchards are gone now but several still stand in the eastern part of the area supplying filberts to the entire state and beyond.

Client Reviews from the Area:
“We sold our old house and bought my new one through Amanda. She was very easy to work with and attentive throughout the whole process. She hosted several open houses, helped with the staging for the professional pictures, and listened to my needs in order to find my next house. Thank you Amanda!!”
